Brow Lamination: Everything You Need to Know

Written by a Licensed Esthetician · Full Circle Beauty, Point Loma, San Diego · Updated March 2026

Brow lamination has become one of our most-requested services at Full Circle Beauty — and for good reason. If you've ever wanted thicker, more defined brows without daily makeup effort, this treatment might change your routine entirely. Here's everything you need to know from our licensed esthetician in Point Loma, San Diego.

What Is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that restructures your brow hairs into a uniform, upward-brushed direction — creating the appearance of fuller, fluffier, more defined brows. Think of it like a perm for your eyebrows, but instead of creating curls, it straightens and lifts each hair to sit in a specific shape.

The result: brows that look groomed and styled all day, every day, with no filling in required.

How Does Brow Lamination Work?

The process takes about 45–60 minutes and involves three steps:

  1. Lifting cream — softens the hair bonds so the brow hairs become pliable and can be reshaped
  2. Setting solution — locks the hairs into their new upward position
  3. Nourishing oil — conditions and restores moisture to the brow hairs after treatment

We then clean up the shape with waxing or threading and can add a tint if you want extra definition.

How Long Does Brow Lamination Last?

Results typically last 6–8 weeks. The exact duration depends on your hair growth cycle, how well you follow aftercare, and your skin's natural oil production. Most clients book every 6–8 weeks to maintain the look.

Brow Lamination Aftercare

The first 24–48 hours are the most important for aftercare:

  • Keep brows dry for 24 hours — no water, sweat, steam, or humidity
  • Don't rub or touch the brow area
  • Avoid makeup on the brows for 24 hours
  • After 48 hours, apply a nourishing brow oil or castor oil nightly to keep hairs hydrated

Who Is Brow Lamination Best For?

Brow lamination works beautifully for clients with:

  • Thin or sparse brows that want a fuller look
  • Unruly or downward-growing hairs that are hard to style
  • Brows that look flat or undefined without makeup
  • Anyone who wants low-maintenance, always-groomed brows

It's not recommended for clients with very fine, damaged, or over-processed brow hairs, or those with recent skin treatments in the brow area.

Brow Lamination Pricing in San Diego

At Full Circle Beauty, brow lamination starts at $75. Adding a brow tint is $95+. We also offer bundle pricing that combines brow lamination with a lash lift & tint for a complete brow and lash transformation in one appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does brow lamination damage your brows?
When done correctly by a trained esthetician, brow lamination is safe. The nourishing step after the treatment helps condition the hairs. Avoid over-processing by waiting the full 6–8 weeks between appointments.
Can I get brow lamination with sparse brows?
Yes — brow lamination is especially effective for sparse brows because it maximizes the appearance of every hair you do have by brushing them upward and outward.
How soon before an event should I get brow lamination?
We recommend 5–7 days before a special event. This gives the brows time to settle into their final shape and allows you to see the full, finished result.
Can I add a tint to brow lamination?
Yes — and we highly recommend it. A tint adds definition and color to the brow hairs, making the lamination result even more dramatic and long-lasting looking.
