What to Know Before Your First Brow Lamination
Brow lamination is one of our most-loved treatments at Full Circle Beauty — but getting the best results starts before you even walk through the door. Here's our pre-appointment guide from our licensed esthetician in Point Loma, San Diego.
Do: Let Your Brows Grow Out
For the best lamination result, you want as much brow hair as possible to work with. Avoid tweezing, threading, or waxing your brows for at least 3–4 weeks before your appointment. The more hair we have to lift and style, the fuller and more dramatic the result.
Don't: Use Retinol Near Your Brows
Stop using retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or any exfoliating treatments near the brow area for at least 5 days before your lamination. These thin the skin and make it more reactive to the lamination solution, increasing the risk of irritation.
Do: Come with Clean, Product-Free Brows
Arrive at your appointment with no brow makeup, brow gels, or oils on the brow area. Product residue can interfere with the lamination solution's ability to penetrate the hair shaft evenly.
Don't: Book Right Before a Big Event
Book your brow lamination 5–7 days before a special event. Freshly laminated brows can look slightly "intense" the first 48 hours as the hairs fully settle into their new position. The final result — soft, brushed, and natural — appears around day 3 and lasts 6–8 weeks.
Do: Discuss Your Shape Goals
Brow lamination works best when we understand the shape you're going for. Bring inspiration photos if you have them. We can combine lamination with brow waxing and tinting in the same appointment for a complete transformation.
